Intelligent Parking Reversing Assist System
March 14, 2012 – 2:35 am
Easy driving and difficult parking are the common driving experience for novice drivers. Therefore, reversing radar gradually becomes a necessary vehicle safety device, however, blind areas still exist and usually make reversing radar unable while reversing. To meet the trend, more reliable visual-based reversing camera system is becoming more and more prevailing. With DVD Navigation gradually popularized, more broad space for development will be open to visual-based reversing camera system.
Intelligent Parking Assist System is such an innovation product to go with the tide, thus makes auto reversing more simple. This Intelligent Parking Assist System (Hereinafter referred to as “the product”) has several outstanding characteristics, such as generating intelligent backward parking trajectory, reading data from original reversing radar, position reference of vehicle body, locking safety bottom line, etc. While reversing maneuvers, two smart backward parking trajectories are generated and clearly shown on Display Screen, and in conjunction with the Steering Wheel movement, the backward parking trajectories would move correspondingly, thus accurately delineate the reversing guide trajectories, and make vehicle reversing as easy as driving.
The product works by reading CAN-Bus data from automotive electronic stability control system, thus can detect the data at low-speed driving, such as magnitude of the steering wheel rotation, speed, and lateral acceleration. Based on the above detected data, the system can generate backward parking trajectory, together with the image derived from the Rear View Camera, they develop into Image-based Trajectory Generation. Thus the backward parking trajectory can be generated for driver assistance.
For some vehicle models, the product is highly integrated with vehicle original equipments, for example, it is able to directly read the data from original reversing radar, and display the obstacle information in the form of Analog Image. Moreover, the product is compatible with all brands of Rear View Cameras, DVD Navigation and other display screen, and applied for variety of vehicle models.
Kindly Reminder
The Video Output Results are much related to Rear View Camera and Display Screen.
The product is only used to assist reverse parking, please check the surrounding to ensure safety while reversing.
This device only fits the cars coming with ESP VSC VSA DSC system, but it is not guaranteed to apply for all vehicles with ESP VSC VSA DSC system. Before buying, please enquiry the distributor about whether the product is suitable for your car.

2012 Chevrolet Camaro – CRITICAL REVIEW
March 10, 2012 – 3:41 am
It’s hard to believe that the current Chevrolet Camaro has only been on sale for two model years, but during that time the car has starred in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, regained the muscle car sales crown, and picked up some healthy performance upgrades along the way.
2007-2010 Chevrolet Silverado DVD GPS Navigation – Car Radio Replacement DVD GPS – 7 Touchscreen Ipod Control
That’s right. The base 2012 Chevrolet Camaro benefits from a new V-6 engine that still displaces 3.6 liters but outputs a stronger 323 horsepower instead of the 2011 model’s 312-horsepower rating. The V-8 powered Camaro SS still delivers a heady 426 horsepower but the big announcement for V-8 fans is the addition of the ZL1 to the 2012 Camaro lineup.
This model is the new range-topper and comes equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V-8, the same unit found in the Cadillac CTS-V line, but with output dialed up to 580 horsepower and 556 pound-feet of torque. Those numbers will make some supercars blush but don’t expect supercar prices on this Chevy; it starts from a very reasonable $54,995.
We recently conducted a first drive of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 so click here to see what we thought of it.
The Camaro range offers two bodystyles, a coupe and a convertible, and yes, even the ZL1 can be ordered as a convertible.
We find the base model to be pretty peppy, but to really bring the chassis to life, particularly when paired with the six-speed manual transmission, a V-8 is a must. The six-speed automatic, by the way, is no slouch, offering slick shifts and solid acceleration as well. You’ll consistently see 0-60 mph times of 4.5 seconds or less with either transmission, as long as there are eight cylinders up front.
It’s not all positive though. While the tough look of the car has won it much praise, the low, sleek roofline means a shortage of headroom for taller drivers. The high beltline, meanwhile, makes it hard to see out of the car for shorter ones, and rearward visibility is rather disappointing. The back seat is suitable only for children, and the trunk, despite the car’s overall size, is diminutive.
At least it’s quiet inside the cabin and there’s plenty of features to keep you entertained, including available navigation, Bluetooth, USB, and iPod connectivity, as well as a new head-up display like the one found in the Corvette.

GXL
On top of the features offered in the GX, the GXL gains satellite navigation with a new 6.1-inch touchscreen system that includes a CD player and USB connectivity.
An alarm system has been added as well as a 220-volt connector in the rear, while a reversing camera is standard.
The 2012 GXL gets a black grille with a chrome frame, along with revised halogen headlights, with an independent clearance lamp between the low and high-beam lamps.
New 4.6 litre V8 Petrol Engine
Beyond the GX, all LandCruiser 200 variants are available with either the 4.5 litre diesel, or the 4.6 litre V8 petrol engine.
Replacing the 4.7 litre V8 engine, the 4.6 litre mill produces 228kW and 439Nm of torque, compared to 202kW and 410Nm for the outgoing engine.
Paired with the diesel engine’s six-speed auto (replacing the five-speed of the outgoing model), the V8 petrol engine lists fuel consumption figures of 13.6 l/100km, down from 14.5 for the old mill.
To help reduce cold-start emissions, a new single-pump air injection system speeds the warming of the catalysts by inducting air through the exhaust ports.
Side indicators are now integrated into the exterior mirrors, and the rear end gets new dual-LED lights. It also has a roof spoiler.
The Petrol GXL is priced at $83,990, and the diesel at $88,990.
KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) is standard on the petrol version and a $3,250 option on the diesel.
Developed in Australia, Toyota’s KDSS automatically adjusts the front and rear anti-roll bars, improving handling, stability and ride comfort.
VX and Sahara
The top-shelf VX and Sahara models pick up a Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) system – new to the LandCruiser range. The system regulates wheel spin, working with the multi-terrain ABS.
Both variants get a new grille style, with grey metallic slats and a chrome frame. The fog lights also have chrome surrounds, and a pair of parking sensors are included front and rear.
New auto-levelling HID headlights are featured, along with daylight-running LED lights.
Other features for these two grades include rain-sensing wipers, new 18-inch alloy wheels and power-retractable exterior mirrors.
In the cabin, both get leather-accented trim, chrome highlights and a revised multi-information could display.
The diesel variant has seven seats and the petrol variant seats eight.
VX models are fitted with a 3.5-inch thin-film transistor screen for viewing the multi-information display.
Sahara
Beyond the VX, the Sahara alone features a four-camera multi-terrain monitor, climate-controlled front seats, a powered tailgate and a three-position memory for the driver’s seat.
Other new features include a new side moulding with chrome highlights, heated seats in the second row (along with the front seats) and a hard-disc-drive for navigation maps.
The Sahara’s multi-information display also now shows steering-wheel angle, speed and turn-by-turn navigation.
Other standard Sahara features include four-zone climate-control air-conditioning, a cool box, rear-seat DVD entertainment system and electro-chromatic rear-view mirror.
As with its predecessor, the new range is covered by Toyota Service Advantage with services capped at $210 for each of up to six standard scheduled services in the first three years or 60,000km.
2012 Geneva motor show: Audi A3
March 6, 2012 – 8:26 am
The all-new Audi A3 has been revealed in three-door guise at the Geneva motor show 2012,which is redefined the premium hatchback segment. The third-generation Audi A3 features a high-class premium interior packed with ‘big car’ technology, a significant weight reduction thanks to its new lightweight modular platform and a highly-efficient new range of petrol and diesel engines.
Chassis
The three-door A3 is the first production car to be underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s new modular ‘MQB’ platform, which will be used as a basis for anything between an A1 and A5 Sportback in size.
In its lightest 1.4 TFSI-powered form, the new A3 weighs just 1175kg, some 80kg less than the equivalent model in the current line-up. The bulk of the body is made from high-strength steels. Aluminium is used for some of the bodywork, including the bonnet and parts of the bumpers.
The suspension is MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear. A sport chassis is offered that lowers the car by 15mm, and the S Line package lowers the car by a further 10mm. Adaptive damping is fitted if the Audi Drive Select package is specced. Standard alloy wheels are 16in in diameter, with up to 18in available.
Size and styling
At 4237mm long, 1777mm wide and 1421mm high, the new A3 is 1mm shorter, 12mm wider and the same height as its predecessor. Despite the length remaining virtually identical, the wheelbase has grown 23mm to 2601mm, which in turn has given the car a shorter front overhang.
Audi has stayed true to the look of the A3 saloon concept, which debuted at the 2011 Geneva motor show. It sports a cleaner, technical look at the front end, which features a large single-frame six-corner grille and a LED ‘wave’ in the optional xenon headlights pictured here.
The three-door’s most distinctive exterior feature is the sharp ‘tornado’ line beneath the rear windows. At the rear, the LED lights sit proud from the tailgate to give a 3D effect, something first seen on Audi’s smaller A1.
Interior
Audi says much of the A3’s development has centred on the interior, as drivers demand ever-greater comfort levels and in-car connectivity. The wraparound driver-focused interior is rich in high-quality, soft-touch materials, and features an intuitive new layout for all the major cabin controls.
The longer wheelbase has brought with it subtle increases in kneeroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers. The driver also sits lower than before, which aids headroom. In the rear, there is space for three. The rear seats can also be split and folded flat, which increases the standard 365 litres boot capacity to 1100 litres.
Chief among the innovations in the cabin is a new MMI controller for top-of-the-range models. This is used to control almost all major functions. Top-spec models get a 7in pop-out screen, while lower and mid-spec models get a 5.8in screen.
The MMI terminal in top-spec models features a familiar wheel, but with a touchpad fitted on top. Audi opted for a touchpad next to the driver instead of a touchscreen, as it minimises driver distraction and audible feedback means the driver’s eyes need never be taken off the road. The touchpad also helps reduce the amount of buttons on the centre tunnel, which is now slimmer thanks to an electronic parking brake being replacing a traditional handbrake.
The software and hardware of the new A3 can also be easily updated to prevent its technology becoming quickly obsolete. The A3 is also being readied for wireless charging of gadgets, and capable of hosting its own wireless hotspot for high-speed connectivity on the go. These features, Audi hopes, will increase the A3’s popularity among younger buyers.
Engines and transmissions
From launch, Audi will offer the three-door A3 with two petrol and one diesel engine from VW Group’s new modular family of engines. The entry-level 1.4 TFSI produces 120bhp and 148lb ft. It can crack 0-62mph in 9.3sec and reach a top speed of 126mph. Combined economy is 54.3mpg and CO2 emissions are rated at 120g/km. The 1.8 TFSI boasts 178bhp and 184lb ft, as well as 0-62mph performance of 7.2sec and a top speed of 144mph. Combined economy in the 1.8 TFSI is 50.4mpg, and CO2 emissions are 130g/km.
The sole diesel at launch is a 2.0 TDI unit with 141bhp and 236lb ft. This A3 can crack 0-62mph in 8.6sec and reach a top speed of 134mph. Combined economy is an impressive 68.9mpg, and CO2 emissions are just 106g/km.
Audi has also confirmed a new 1.6 TDI later in 2012 with 74.3mpg and 99g/km CO2 emissions. Another new addition later in the year will be a base 1.2 TFSI petrol unit to replace the 1.6 MPI petrol engine. The new S3 will get a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine with 260bhp and Quattro all-wheel drive. The A3 is also able to house hybrid, natural gas and ‘e-gas’ drivetrains, although market launched for these models has not yet been confirmed.
